I think it is safe to say that all of us are anxious to get out and about again. While many are ready to venture back out and perhaps book a getaway for a change of scenery, we are all left with the question of “When is it safe to book a vacation and travel?” Life suddenly looks a lot different and we are in a big adjustment period. Here at Resort Properties Vacations, including Whispering Pines, we are taking every precautionary step to ensure our guests have a safe, clean and welcoming stay with us in downtown Pigeon Forge while vacationing during Covid-19.
Steps We are Taking
- Deep Cleans – Our housekeeping staff has been deep cleaning each rental condo during this time. This includes walls, drapery, cabinetry, all appliances etc. We have always prided ourselves on our cleanliness and considered it one of the most important elements when it comes to a vacation. However, during this process we have implemented even more to our daily cleaning to ensure a clean space for our guests to visit and recharge at. Our cleaning products and supplies all follow CDC guidelines and recommendations for combating the Covid-19.
- Property Maintenance – Our maintenance staff has taken advantage of this down time this Spring and worked tirelessly on the properties. This includes bleaching all pool furniture, pressure washing (all patio area, walkways, stairwells etc), and painting all the railing. We also just had the entire parking lot repaved and this winter we had new staircases put in several of the buildings too. First impressions are very important to us and we will continue to work hard to be a welcoming resort for everyone that chooses to visit us!
- Contactless Arrivals and Departures – Safety is a top priority so we have changed a lot of procedures for this new time we are all facing. We will be offering several options for our guests so you all can choose whichever one works and fits best for you. The first option is a contactless stay. You will have to sign the registration card via e-signature and email it back to us. We will then let you know how to retrieve your key and packet when you visit. The second option is curbside check-in. This option will only be available when the weather is amicable. We will have a staff member that will be set up in our parking lot and you will simply drive up, sign your registration card and receive your arrival packet. The third option is you can check-in with our office staff as usual. There are some stipulations with the office check-in. We do ask that only one member of the group/family comes into the office. This needs to be the person whose name is actually on the reservation. We also ask that everyone abides by the 6 foot social distancing guideline.
- Office – We will be following recommendations from the city and state on how to protect our staff and guests. All front desk employees will be wearing a mask and we will have a sanitation station in our office for guests to use. In addition to those steps, we will also have Plexiglas installed at the front desk.
Life certainly looks a little different these days and as much as we want everything to go back to normal, we will have to adjust for a time period. We are doing that here at Whispering Pines and we will always make whatever necessary changes to provide a great vacation destination for our guests. We love you all and are so appreciative of the continued support you all show! During this time, many of you have reached out to us to see how we are doing and we cannot express how much that meant to us. We have been here for over 22 years now and we absolutely love the relationships we have built with many of you. We look forward to the time when you feel comfortable traveling and vacationing with us again. We are here, we are open and we are ready to welcome you back to Pigeon Forge. Things may look a little different and times may be a little uncertain, but what remains the same is love, compassion and grace. May we all hold onto the important people and moments that life blesses us each with. We realize vacationing during Covid-19 can be frightening. Know we are praying for you all and hope to see you soon at Whispering Pines!
