For all you theme park enthusiasts and Pigeon Forge vacationers, we have great news to pass along! Dollywood reopens June 15! Their opening will be done in phases. Here is what we know concerning the details of what to expect when you visit Dolly Parton’s theme park in Pigeon Forge. (This reopening will also include Splash Country.)
Dollywood will reopen to season passholders only on June 15th and 16th. Passholders will need to make reservations to attend the park. We mentioned in an earlier blog about Dollywood that they have extended all 2020 season passed to be valid through June 1, 2021.
On June 17th, Dollywood will reopen for general admissions. They will be offering date-based tickets for purchase.
What to Expect
- Everyone ages 3 and up will be required to wear a face mask or face covering. There will be a few exceptions regarding the use of a face mask for eating at the park, and some of the water park attractions at Splash Country.
- Guests can also expect to have their temperature taken prior to entering the park. Anyone that has a temperature higher than 100.4 degrees will not be allowed admittance to Dollywood. Officials say that refunds or rain checks may be offered.
- Dollywood will be following CDC guidelines and therefore, there will be a daily capacity for the park. The number of people allowed on rides and in dining facilities will also be limited and monitored. This limit will allow space for people to social distance and roam around the park safely.
- Wait lines for the rides will also be physically distanced and numerous sanitation measures have been implemented throughout the park.
